The Goo Goo Dolls will re-relase an expanded version of their Let Love In CD. The new version features a DVD with live footage, music videos and acoustic songs. The DVD, entitled, Live And Intimate, will be comprised of an exclusive live-in-studio performance of fourteen songs filmed and recorded March 27, 2006 at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, California.
Let Love In hits stores February 27th and will also be available as a digital music download at all participating digital retailers as well as the deluxe CD + DVD package.

I had a set at the comedy store Saturday night, and after I closed, I was bringing on the next comedian, a guy named Kirk Fox that works for Carlos Mencia.
I introduce him saying that he's a funny guy, and that he opens on the road for Carlos "Menstealia." That’s the name we call him at the comedy store, and of course Carlos doesn't like it one bit.
Carlos was apparently in the room when I said this, and the perfect combination of ego and timing made him decide that this was the night to put his foot down. As I got off stage and headed towards the back of the room, he grabbed the mike away from Kirk, and said that I was too much of a pussy to say that shit to his face. Which to me, is something akin to the hottest girl in the world daring you to fuck her while you're standing there in her bedroom naked with a boner.
Of course I had to disagree with him, and I decided to get onstage with him and have this "meeting of the minds" as it were. On video, and for the whole world to see via the internet.

On The Road Again-Songs To Drive By To
Whether you’re taking that cross country trip you always planned, out on a scenic Sunday drive through the country, or fighting road rage on a jammed up highway, these songs are the perfect soundtrack to the streets. Ice T, Toddy T, King T, NWA. These names are synonymous with west coast gangsta.. rap. But all too often one groups name goes unmentioned. The group the genre was named after, Gangsta Rap. Gangsta Rap is comprised of Murder Mike, Du Rag and DJ Ballistics. In the mid to late eighties, Gangsta Rap ran the west coast underground with such classics as ..Fuck That Bitch.., ..Beat Yo.. Mamma With A Hammer.. and ..Spit Or Swallow... In the early nineties Gangsta Rap fell into obscurity after several run ins with the law, shady business management, failed comeback attempts and countless child custody cases. But now, they..re back. They've just inked a deal with gangster rap powerhouse Innersounds Records and are the subject of a documentary film entitled Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary.
The new movie Gangsta Rap:The Glockumentary looks more like a dis to gangsta rap as a whole. Like Fear of a Black Hat or CB-4, the plot follows a group of rap artists as they struggle with the music business. The film features well known comedians, and rappers such as Too Short, Howie Bell, Schuylar Harvey, and Gerald Johnson. The movie opens on March 2nd in LA. The feature-length comedy is independently released by Ill Ville Films/Big Business. Written and directed by Damon "Coke" Daniels. Stay tuned and check the website for more!

Really Really Good: Throw Some D’s Edition
R.I.P Disco D
I got the news that Disco D had passed away a few days ago. The up and coming producer had a major hit on his hands last year with his production of 50 Cent’s single Ski Mask Way. The details surrounding his suicide are slim, with some sources claiming mental health issues and financial worries as the main motives behind his death. One thing that is clear is that hip-hop has lost one of its brightest music makers.
I had the chance to ask Disco D a few interview questions a while back, and posted them on a few blogs. He seemed like a genuinely cool guy, ready to take on the world. You can check it out below, along with some other links on the story that are worth a look.
