Don't Get Gassed! Really Really Good # 9

What’s the word?

Wow, I haven’t posted since the 11th? Sorry about that kids, Uncle Q has been on the grind in LA. Next thing you know, it’s two weeks and not one single post from the hip- hop blog king! So let me try to bring youz up to speed.

Make sure your in the spot October 8th, as Chinky Eyed brings “The Clash of the Titans” to Knitting Factory in Hollywood. This one is gonna be off the meat rack! Cappadonna, Killah Priest, and R.A. The Rugged Man are the headliners, with Icon the Mic King performing as well. DJ Lime will be on the decks and I heard my homie stromie DJ Woool will be holding down the 1200s too. You never know who else might hit the stage that night. Look for pics, videos and mad flava that night! I’ll keep you posted on the four eleven.

bbBig shouts to Dimitri and Pete from Burning Brides. They came through the spot the other night and rocked a few sessions with Prodigal Sunn. The studio has been sounding nice the last few weeks, and you will be hearing all the new heat here at Canhead as soon as it’s ready! Go show Burning Brides some love until then!

~Yo, did you hear Soulive’s new cover of “Crosstown Traffic”. No? Check it out then, along with 3 other tracks!

And finally, this…

So as the crew were already at the Dead Prez/KRS-One show and I was getting ready, I got this feeling in my gut. I don’t know how to describe it, it was just a weird feeling like, “here we go, let the bullshit begin.” So as soon as I walk out the door, I get a call. “Party’s over tell the rest of the crew”

For some reason, the show got shut down by the cops. I heard someone say it had something to do with permits, but I may be wrong. All I know is that the rest of the night was kind ill as well. I ended up catching Quinto Sol at Little Temple, and then roaming downtown LA. Shit was jumping off all night tho’, a couple of shoot-outs in the streets, and females seemed to be extra friendly for some reason. The vibe was bugged out all night. Go figure. Read up on the dead prez-KRS-One show that wasn't at Davey D’s site. (Good looking out SV!)

That’s it. One ya’self!
