ROCKERS--25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

ROCKERS is a Reggae triumph. By all critical standards ROCKERS is one of the greatest Reggae films ever. Starring Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace and Richard "Dirty Harry" Hall, it’s a Robin Hood style story of oppressed Jamaican musicians getting even with the "mafia types" in the business.

But it is the all-star musical performances, appearances, and soundtrack that sets ROCKERS apart, featuring Burning Spear, Bunny Wailer, Third World, Peter Tosh, Jacob Miller, Gregory Isaacs, Kiddus I, Junior Murvin, Inner Circle, the Heptones, & Abyssinians.

ROCKERS includes acting roles and appearances by Jacob Miller, Gregory Isaacs, Burning Spear, Kiddus I, Robbie Shakespeare, Leroy Smart, Big Youth, & Dillinger. Join us as we celebrate the life of one of the classic reggae films, “Rockers”.

Really Really Good: Star Gazing

Really Really Good: Star Gazing

Peace and hairgrease, my good online people! Prepare to take another fantastic voyage on the RRG starship, hitting nebulas and black holes from here to the Pleiades and back! Moving at mach speed through cyber space, I have gathered yet another collection of earthen video delights, news from the blue sphere and more mojo from the dojo. Yeah, we know YouTube has won the popularity contest between online video site, there are still tons out there that are worth your cubicle time. Nothing but the best in online sights and sounds, guerilla multimedia tactics, and funky fresh flicks of chicks, packed into one super duper fly column.

As Captain Sisco would say, “BATTLE STATIONS!”

UPDATE: Bell released from jail!
taken from CNN.com
Mychal Bell, a black teenager accused of beating a white classmate and who was the last of the "Jena 6" behind bars, was released from custody Thursday after a juvenile court judge set his bail at $45,000.

The Jena 6 in depth page is worth a look as well!

FOX News "Balances" Jena 6 With Black Racism
Wow, I am really starting to hate this guy Sean Hannity. When talking to Rev. Al Sharpton regarding race, what else, he showed his balanced reporting skills by comparing the words of Isaiah Thomas to the actions of the Jena 6. The best part is at the very end of the clip, when he acts like he can’t hear Sharpton and ignores the real question at hand.

I know this might sound funny coming from your favorite B-Boy Blogger, but when I’m not listening to the latest gangsta rap cut from MC Foul Mouth, I am blasting this song in my ride! Hey, I’m originally from Tennessee, so deal with it.

Soggy Bottom Boys “Man Of Constant Sorrow” –(not the original but not bad either)
