CASSIDY SPEAKS OUT ABOUT NOT GUILTY CHARGES

FULL SURFACE/J RECORDS ANNOUNCE PLANS TO READY NEW ALBUM

NEW SINGLE "CASSIDY (THE ANTHEM)" TO HIT STORES FEBRUARY 28 (New York, NY - February 1, 2006)

Full Surface/J Records is ferventlygearing up for the return of Cassidy to the hip-hop forefront with theFebruary 28 commercial 12-inch release of the much-talked about single"Cassidy (The Anthem)," a song previously recorded but not featured onCassidy's sophomore album I'm A Hustla.

"Cassidy (The Anthem)" will also be available as a master ringtone via all carriers on January 31,while the digital single will be available for download on February 14. Currently serving the rest of his term and looking forward to a release within the next two to three months, Cassidy provided the following statement regarding the recent turn of events via his defense attorney, Fortunato Perri:

"While I am pleased that I was cleared of the murder charges, my satisfaction is not long-lasting, because of the death of someone who I considered to be my friend, Des Hawkins. And while I am eager to resume my career as a recording artist, writer and performer, I am also eager to be reunited with my family, friends, and fans. I too share the important message stated in court by Des's dad, who urged all parents to love their children, and to be there for them. As the father of a young child myself, spending much time on the road and in the studio, away from home, I am relieved that I will soon be home for family and my career."

Upon his release, Cassidy will head back into the studio with producer-extraordinaire and CEO of Full Surface Records, Swizz Beatz, to record what is destined to be one of the most poignant recordings of Cassidy's burgeoning career.

"I'd like to first thank radio and all of his fans for their love and support during this time, and let everyone know that when Cassidy gets out, do not expect us to promote this situation as a cocky and violent situation, but as a blessed situation," says Swizz Beatz. "Cass will continue to make great music, but in a positive way, educating the youth that violence is never the answer. We'll do the rest of the talking with the music."

The Big Dance

Thought I'd drop a few links real quick like. The days of ignoring my blog continue, sad to say. The real world is taking all the airtime in ya boy's life, but that's a good thing, really. Long as the checks keep stacking, my blogging might be lackin'. Try not to hate me too much for it. In the meantime, peep the PSA from El Q The Invisible!!

--side note....People, what's up with all the shoplifting? Cut it out and get your hustle on, for KRS's sakes. If you can't say no, keep it under 401.00 and get a pair of 34 long, yao ming?!? You have been warned!!! Don't make a brother walk down to the Garden Level and arrest your trifflin' azz in front of your folkers. I'm not hatin, but if that's your hustle.....you need a new hustle!

Peace to the Lo Lifes!! (The last crew to do it with style!!)

2006

What's the word party people? The holidaze are finally over, and the new year is here. Hope you all had fun and made it on the new side in one piece. I'm still here, doing my thing, hustling day and night, trying to make a dollar outta fifteen pennies. So far it's working. For that alone, I am grateful. I am also grateful for all the new friends and connections I have made out here in sunny California, as well as my family and friends scattered all over the world for always being there. Hope this year bring us all happiness and blessings.

Things are moving along according to plan here at the compound. Topanga Soap Company continues to win new customers and the website has been tweaked and fine tuned. Our product line can now be found at The Dock-Downtown, LA Mart, online at The Beauty Drawer, as well as own home site. LiveStream LA.com came out the gate swinging and landed some hot video performance exclusive from RZA, Psycho Realm, DJ Muggs vs GZA. Big things are in store for the new year so stay tuned to the fastest growing music streaming website out of Los Angeles. Headshots Entertainment and Godz Inc. are both constantly in the lab, working on the next masterpiece. With the release of Prodigal Sunn's latest CD, "The Return Of The Prodigal Sun" in stores now, both P and B. Original have their eyes set on 2006 and are getting ready. B-Original released his mix CD, "Code Red Mixtape" this year and the next one is sure to be that fire! Be on the look-out for the Prodigal Sunn mixtape soon and the new website Tims And Brims.com! Yung Masta is continuing to work on his solo CD as well, and you can hear more of him on both mixtapes. If you don't know who Yung Masta is...check your "Return Of The Prodigal Sunn" CD again and do the knowledge. And my little jump off, Cuegen Management, looks ready to jump off this year, fully. You know I'll hit you with any news or info that happen to come my way, as usual.

So with all that, I think we're set. Let's get this party started. Big shouts to you to if your reading this. Hope this helps you feel better if your still wasted from last night.
